The Travel Industry Takes on Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation
Human trafficking is a form of modern slavery where people profit from the control and exploitation of others. The International Labor Organization estimates there are over 40 million victims globally, 1 in 4 victims are children.
ECPAT-USA partners with travel and tourism suppliers, associations, and meeting professionals to combat human trafficking and child exploitation. Adopters of ECPAT’s Code include multinational companies such as Marriott, CWT, Hilton, Delta, and American.
ECPAT-USA can help you learn about the Tourism Child-Protection Code of Conduct and how companies can join ECPAT-USA in creating a world where no child is bought, sold, or used for sex.
