Youth Outreach Associate
The Youth Outreach Associate will support the Youth Outreach Manager in engaging the school community in anti-trafficking education and prevention efforts. This will be done through our Youth Against Child Trafficking (Y-ACT) program which educates NYC middle and high school students about the risks of child sexual exploitation, how to avoid it, and how to become activists on the issue. Duties of the Youth Outreach Associate will focus on creating relationships between ECPAT-USA and key stakeholders in the education sector, working directly with youth in schools, and helping to develop projects.
NOTE: This is a part time, temporary position in New York City.
Public Relations & Events intern
The Public Relations and Events Intern will assist with organizing and executing daily operations to raise awareness of ECPAT-USA's work and mission. Under the supervision of the Director of Development and Communications, the Public Relations and Events Intern will identify and coordinate media opportunities, develop press releases, and support event operations such as volunteer tracking, vendor outreach, and guest lists.
Candidate should be outgoing and comfortable with outreach, as well as cold calling and emailing. Previous experience with events (of any type), customer service, or agency experience a plus. Must have excellent phone presence.
Internship would be well suited for current college student or recent graduate looking to gain PR and events experience with a leading nonprofit. Position to begin immediately and last through mid November, or later if candidate prefers. 10-15 hours/week preferred.
